Crackerjack compared
Crackerjack and District
Events discovery and ticketing
What District is good at
District, which brought Insider's events business under Zomato, is genuinely excellent at discovery — if you want a city's nightlife in one feed, with a clean checkout behind it, it is very good at exactly that.
Where we differ
It is a place audiences go to find something to attend. It is not where an organiser goes to hire the performer, agree the fee, or get that money moved safely. Crackerjack does both sides of that, for the organiser as well as the crowd.
Side by side
| Capability | District | Crackerjack |
|---|---|---|
| Discover events near you | A real strength of the product | Yes, with a map and state filters |
| Book a performer for your own event | Not what it's built for | Browse artists, send a request, agree a rate |
| Hold the artist's fee until the show happens | Artist fees are arranged off-platform | Held from booking until you confirm the set happened |
| Plan the event itself | Discovery and checkout, not planning | Jack drafts a plan: artists, budget, running order |
Compared on what each platform is built to do, from what each publishes publicly. We haven't compared fees: District doesn't publish a single rate that applies to everyone, and we're not going to guess at one.
Plenty of nights need both platforms. If you want the booking and the tickets in one place, that's the part we built.
