Crackerjack compared
Crackerjack and StarClinch
Artist booking marketplace
What StarClinch is good at
StarClinch is the closest of the four to what we do, and has been at it far longer — a large verified roster across the country, and a real artist-booking marketplace rather than a directory. Credit where it is due.
Where we differ
Where we differ is what happens around the booking: we also sell the tickets to the night you are booking for, hold the fee until the set has actually happened, and open the gig to other artists at half commission if someone pulls out.
Side by side
| Capability | StarClinch | Crackerjack |
|---|---|---|
| Find and book an artist | Its core product, and a large roster | Verified profiles with rates and availability |
| Sell tickets to the event you booked for | Booking, not ticketing | Your own event page, tiers and QR tickets |
| Hold the fee until the show happens | Not published as part of the product | Held from booking until you confirm the set happened |
| Cover for an artist who drops out | Not published as part of the product | We open the gig to other artists at 5% instead of 10% |
Compared on what each platform is built to do, from what each publishes publicly. We haven't compared fees: StarClinch doesn't publish a single rate that applies to everyone, and we're not going to guess at one.
Plenty of nights need both platforms. If you want the booking and the tickets in one place, that's the part we built.
